STAR performer in the York FA Under-19s Football League was Rawcliffe’s Oscar Massey.
On his debut he hammered five goals, including a first-half hat-trick bagged in the space of a mere ten minutes, to underpin a 9-2 thrashing of hosts Acomb.
The other Rawcliffe marksmen were Jake Greenhill, Jack Torrance, Reuben Young and Dylan Howlett. The Acomb replies were shared by Josh Shephard and Connor Brigham.
Honours were even between Dringhouses and Haxby.
Haxby led 1-0 at half-time courtesy of a Myles Frodsham strike, but Tom Matthews levelled to ensure a share of the points. For Haxby, Tom Barnes was outstanding.
Wigginton lost 3-1 at home to Tockwith, whose Harry Stobbart (2) and George Parkinson were on target. Tom Fenwick got the hosts’ consolation.
Wilberfoss were on the end of a resounding 11-2 loss at home to Thorpe, whose Steven Frost (4), Jake Raistrick (2), Tom Butterfield (2) Dan Ward, Mike Cussons and Andrew Wilson scored.
Stillington eked out their first point of the season after a spirited 1-1 draw at York Cubs for whom an Isaac Gilding goal was matched b y one from Matt Malkin.
James Wood, Jack Davies and Paddy Wintie were the Fulford marksmen in the 3-1 win at York RI, whose Judah Cocker claimed the consolation.
