TADCASTER Magnets struggled against a strong Clifton Alliance attack in the Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire Under-13 Championship.
They closed on 48-9 with Josh Burlingham making 11. Dan Moll took 2-7, Jack Hartshorne 3-7 and Miles Buckle 2-17. Jack Mayfield then hit 18 and Sam Beighton 12 not out in a five-wicket win.
Seven Woodhouse Grange bowlers were wicket takers as Pocklington were rolled over for 41 in Zone C.
The Woodhouse reply took 4.4 overs with Matthew Ainley excelling on 31 not out.
Acomb booked the first Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire U13 Cup quarterfinal slot with a comfortable win over Woodhouse Grange. Woodhouse were all out for 64. Charlie Brookes took 3-7, Louie Kirkham 2-3, Jamie Thornton 1-0 and Thomas Brown 1-8.
Harrison Hopper hit 18, Brookes 14 and Brown 14 not out in Acomb’s 65-2 in 13.1 overs.
