A KNOCK of 30 not out from Harry Matthews helped Woodhouse Grange beat Stamford Bridge in the York & District Junior Cricket Association Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire Under-13 Cup second round.
Matthew Ainley (26) and Dan Robertson (26), along with 29 extras, helped Grange post 125-5. Patrick Randall took 2-24 for Bridge, who could only reach 48-6 in their reply.
All ten Grange outfielders bowled, with six of them taking a wicket.
Acomb scored 66-8 in their clash with Malton. Harrison Hopper made 16 and Thomas Brown 12 with A Biles taking 3-9. Joe Olney’s 2-0 and Daniel Watkinson (2-3) and Chris Wood (2-9) ensured Malton were all out for 32.
Heworth progressed at the expense of Londesborough Park in the first round of the Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire U13 plate.
In a total of 165-1, Jack Wilkinson contributed 33 not out, Paddy Mulvey 31 not out, Will Rountree 30 not out and Zac Moorcroft 26. D Weston made 32 not out and H Smith 24 in the Park reply of 89-6.
Tadcaster Magnets joined Heworth with an eight wicket win over Pocklington. Batting first, Pocklington were bowled out for 55 by M Denubriga, who took 2-4.
I Cockerham (3-5) and C Dawson (3-11) also got in on the wicket taking act. E Spicer (16) was the pick of the Pocklington batsmen.
Charlie Marr continued his run of good scores with 32 not out.
