TADCASTER Magnets and Bolton Percy are vying for top spot in zone ‘A’ of the Quality Solicitors Burn & Company Under-11 Development League.

Magnets recorded a 28-run win at the expense of Bishopthorpe.

Cameron Mackay (25 not out and 2-8) led the way supported by 16 from Miles Buckle and 1-8 from Caitlin Hill and 1-12 from Katie Burton.

Magnets and Percy then met and it was the latter who won by 22 runs in an exciting game.

Londesborough Park prevailed by a single run when they went to Osbaldwick in zone ‘B’. Jack Allerton (Osbaldwick) and Harry Cartwright (Park) both top scored for their teams with 13.

Pocklington moved to the top of the table thanks to a win over Woodhouse Grange. Harvey Dixon made 13 and Harry Stabler 11 not out. For Grange, Dan Durkin top scored with 13 and Jake Sedgewick hit 11.

In the Quality Solicitors Burn & Company Under-11 Incrediball Cup, Pocklington eased into the final with a win over newcomers North Duffield in the last four.

Ted Baty hit 14, while Harry Jackson, Harry Stabler and Jack Smith all hit 13 and George Watson struck ten.

North Duffield’s leading bat was Josh Dickinson with 12, while Oli Spicer took 2-5 to keep Pock on track for the final.

In the final, at Dunnington they will meet Bolton Percy.
