Kaya was also the leading bowler with 2-7 while Tilly Kennedy and Dan Tingle each took 1-7.

The other likely team to make the play-offs are York ‘A’ after a comfortably win against Ovington. Cameron Luck made 17, Isaac Allison 15 and Alex Wood and Andrew Reed both 13, with wickets from Tom Gledden (2-3). For Ovington, Oliver Robinson made 12.

Several Pocklington batsmen were on form as they overcame Heworth in zone ‘B’.

Acomb ‘B’ revelled in a 22-run win over close rivals Londesborough Park to go second behind Pocklington.

Thomas Dook made 22 and took 1-8, B Pearson made 16, M Hunter 15, Oliver Quick took 1-10 and A Stone 1-6. For Park, S Young made 15 and took 1-7, T Yeomans made 13 and J Raper 11.
