TADCASTER Magnets made home advantage count to claim the Quality Solicitors Burn & Company under-11 Development League zone ‘A’ points against Ovington.

Magnets’ Mani Denobriga hit 19 not out and took 1-9 with Cameron MacKay contributing 16 and 1-11.

For Ovington, J Burland made 19 with J Hall taking 2-10, O March 1-9 and A March 1-11.

Pocklington posted a zone ‘B’ win over Londesborough Park.

Harry Jackson made 17 and took 1-0, well supported by Tom Kirby (16 and 1-1), Max Willmott (13) and Adam Young (1-4).

In zone ‘A’ of the U9 championship, York had a comfortable win over Selby to keep up their play-off hopes.

Isaac Allinson (34 and 2-3) led the way with Cameron Luck (27 and 2-1) and Andrew Reed (22) in support.

For Selby, Finley Tomlinson made 11.

Pocklington have positioned themselves well for the zone ‘B’ play-offs with wins against both their rivals.

Against Londesborough Park, Ted Baty top-scored with 28 Oliver Spicer made 16, Harry Jackson 21 and Harry Forman ten. For Park, T Yeoman made 36, O Rooke and S Young 13 and B Spruyt 15.

Against Acomb ‘B’, Baty again made 28 with Jackson (27), Harry Stabler (10) and Forman (27) chipping in. T Watson hit 22 for Acomb.

Thomas Wood’s 36 led the way for Acomb ‘D’ in their U9 Development League zone ‘C’ success over Drax. Ben Lydsey took 2-11 and Harry Rae 1-10.

For Drax, Sam Thornton made 23 and Lewis Thomas 20no.

Acomb ‘C’ girls excelled in their zone ‘D’ visit to York ‘B’.

Kate Garry hit 20no, Mia Nelson 16no and Kitty Townend 14 while Sophie Kay took 1-3 and Jenna Humbles 1-8.

Acomb girls ended Wheldrake’s unbeaten record with an eightrun away win.

E Barker hit nine not out and took 1-14 with support from B Kirkham (1-5) and Kate Garry (1-7). For Wheldrake, Jack Wilson made 16no, Andrew Murtagh 11no and Oliver Swift 10no.

Sheriff Hutton Bridge bested Bolton Percy girls.

For Bridge, Jacob Kirby made 23no and Ben Fairclough 19.

Elizabeth Martin took 2-4 for Bolton Percy with Jessica Tully 1-2 and Isobel Yates 1-29.

York ‘B’ triumphed at Ovington, where Ben Wright made 11 and Elliott Heath took 2-3. For the hosts, Zach Blower made 15, Beth Kirkland took 1-5 and Oliver Steel 1-6.
