IT has been a summer of personal bests and medals for Tadcaster Swim Squad.
Ten-year-olds Harry Souter, of Barwick-in-Elmet, and Fergus Whittaker, of Bishopthorpe , both recorded PBs in each of their three swims at the North Eastern Age Group Swimming Championships in Leeds.
Twenty club swimmers won ten gold medals, 15 silver and nine bronze at Scarborough Swimming Club ‘A’/‘B’ grade gala.
Gold medalists were Kiri Armstrong, 14, of Appleton Roebuck, Stutton’s Thomas Carswell, 11, Alex Christie, 14, of Copmanthorpe , Alex Heard, 12, of Stutton, Tockwith’s Callum McHenery, 13, and Rachael McHenery, 12, and Isobel Thompson, 14, of Church Fenton.
Taddy swimmers won 18 golds, 20 silvers and 12 bronzes at the Team Jorvik Swimming Club ‘A’/‘B’/‘C’ grade gala in Leeds.
Sam Whittaker was top boy for his age group and golds also went to James Alldridge, Emily Ball, Tom Carswell, Alex Chappell, Heard, Marija Hiscott, Rachel Kennedy, Matthew Kirby, Callum McHenery, Sam Morfitt, Souter, Fleur Standen and Ellie Walker.
