YOUNGSTERS from Haxby Netball Club flew the flag for North Yorkshire at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
Haxby’s under-12s team entered the new U12s Netball Festival event, which was organised by the England Netball Regional committee.
The competition was open to four teams from each of the four areas that make up the regional zone – North, South and West Yorkshire plus Humber.
Haxby were the top North Yorkshire team after the round-robin games, taking fifth place overall, crowning a “day to remember” according to coaches.
