York Schoolboys Under-11s went down 2-0 at Hull in the semi-finals of the Green Un Cup.
York should have taken the lead when Harry Tinker fired in an early cross, but Joe Stamp was unable to get on the end of the pass.
Hull were playing on the break but solid defensive work from man-of-the-match George Turbine, Isaac Meehan and Dan Tingle contained them until half-time.
With only ten minutes remaining, a long pass found the Hull striker and his early shot was saved by York keeper Todd Edgar, but he pounced on the rebound.
York forced a late corner but they were unable to take advantage and Hull broke away for a second goal.
