THORPE United booked a place in the final of the York FA Under-11s Junior Cup with a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Copmanthorpe.

The sides drew 3-3 after normal time and hat-trick hero Ben Hudson netted the winning penalty as visitors Thorpe triumphed 5-4 on spot kicks.

Thorpe were 2-1 down at half-time, but Hudson scored two second-half goals to add to his first-half strike to send the game into a shootout.

A Jared Garrett penalty five minutes from time was enough to edge Heworth through after an even match at Rawcliffe.

The York FA U19s Cup final will be between Rawcliffe and Dringhouses.

Rawcliffe hit back from 3-1 down at half-time to beat Wigginton 4-3.

Dylan Howlett and Reuben Young grabbed a brace apiece for Rawcliffe, while Wigginton’s goals came from Sam Jeffery, Calum Hurst and Ryan Barker.

Dringhouses were 3-1 winners over Tockwith. Sam Lake and Sam Ripley-Kitson (2) were on the scoresheet for Dringhouses.

Tockwith could only manage a late consolation in reply.

Heworth breezed into the final of the York FA U15s Intermediate (Senior) Minor Cup with a 6-1 win at Woodthorpe Wanderers.

The Heworth goals were shared between Tom Fort, Will Haigh, Ben Brown and Brad Martin.

Brooklyn edged through 4-3 on penalties against York Cubs following a 1-1 draw after 80 minutes.

A further three sets of semi-finals will be played tomorrow.

In the York FA Senior Minor (U16s) Cup, Tockwith will host Rawcliffe Tigers, while Stamford Bridge are at home to Easingwold Town.

The York FA Intermediate (Junior) U14s Cup semi-finals see Huntington host Haxby Town, while Brayton travel to Fulford.

Brayton will entertain Brooklyn in the last four of the York FA U12s Junior Cup, while Huntington host Dringhouses.
