PUPILS from Easingwold Community Primary School came out on top in their cluster schools' athletics competition.
Easingwold will represent Hambleton at the School Games on Thursday, February 26 at Catterick after amassing 340 points in the Year 5 and Year 6 competition at the Galtres Centre.
There score was enough to beat youngsters from Applegarth, Brompton, Carlton Miniott, Crayke, Kirby Hill, Knayton, South Otterington and Swainby schools.
A school spokesman said: "This result places our Year 5/6 children as the best at athletics out of 69 primary schools.
"The children worked so hard and supported one another brilliantly. The icing on the cake was we won with a whopping 340 points."
