DERBY day honours were seized by Haxby United over Wigginton Grasshoppers in the York FA Under-19s Football League.
The Haxby outfit triumphed 4-1 with the plunder shared between Joe Sutton (2), George Rhodes and Harry Moorcroft. Sam Jeffrey notched Wigginton’s consolation.
Dringhouses had a comfortable 3-0 home win over York Cubs. Tom Hawksby (2) and Joe Galloway were the marksmen.
Dan Dickensen’s hat-trick and a solo effort by Ryan Gale for Stillington proved in vain as visitors Thorpe hit seven goals.
The hit-men were Jack Raistrick (2), Johnny Machin (2), Tom Roley, Liam Lawton and Michael Cussans.
The highest scorers of the day were York RI, who aced Acomb 13-1. Judah Cocker and Dan Hickery led the way with four-goal hauls followed by Johnny Machin (2), Jack Willis, Mick Long and Tom Brooke.
Acomb’s lone net-finder was Connor Briggan.
Hosts Fulford toppled Wilberfoss 4-1, their marksmen being Connor Wade (2), James Wilsher and Patrick Wintie, with Sam McAllister mustering a solo reply.
It was a grim day for Rawcliffe, who fell 5-2 at home to Tockwith.
The nap-hand goal-getters were Will Deakin (2), Jack Swindlehurst (2) and Harry Stobbart.
