TEENAGER Kiri Armstrong of the Tadcaster Swim Squad took part in the North-Eastern Youth Swimming Championships at Sunderland.
The Appleton Roebuck-based swimmer qualified for four events but due to other commitments could only take part in the 50 metres freestyle and 50m backstroke, where he bagged a personal best in finishing 11th. He was 24th in the freestyle.
