Poppleton only need one more point to win division one after brushing aside Dunnington with new partnership Jack Hannah and Catherine Baker matching the 32 games won by the division’s highest scorers Nick Turnbull and Claire Smith.

David Lloyd closed in on the division two trophy with a win against visitors Bubwith.

Rufforth are still in second place with a win at Bishopthorpe followed by Poppleton, who got the better of Dunnington against whom mother and son Rosie and Tom Cantrell finished with a 10-2 victory to seal the win.

Alex Herriott and Anna Dimitropallou ensured Fulford tightened their grip on the division five silverware with a draw against promotion hopefuls Bishopthorpe.

Bishopthorpe bounced back against York led by Jamie Winspear and Elli Page. Wigginton are now in the second automatic spot as unbeaten Joe Galloway and Cat Sudlow led them to a win at Wetherby Castlegarth.

Alne moved out of the relegation places with a win at York.

Sutton-on-Derwent seconds won division six after toppling Stillington, while Chris Lochman and Rachel Mintoft scored a valuable 28 games against Dunnington.

Rufforth top division eight by games difference over Stamford Bridge after the latter won comfortably against Tollerton.

David Lloyd are looking to make it a club double as they now head division nine after Rodger Hobson and Liz Taylor won 31 games when beating Fulford.
