FORMER York City Rowing Club star Tom Ransley and North Yorkshire-born Andrew Triggs Hodge will team up in the Great Britain eight at the third and final World Cup regatta in Lucerne.

This weekend’s regatta will provide the squad with one of their final chances to test themselves against world-class opposition ahead of next month’s World Championships in South Korea.

University of York graduate Ransley and Hebden-born Triggs Hodge will aim to continue the form which saw the crew win Henley Royal Regatta’s Grand Challenge Cup last weekend.

The eight, which won gold in the second World Cup race at Eton Dorney last month, is made up by Dan Ritchie, Pete Reed, Will Satch, Mohamed Sbihi, Alex Gregory, George Nash and cox Phelan Hill.

Richmond’s Zoe Lee will race as part of the GB women’s eight for the first time in the European phase of this year’s World Cup series.
