Haxby 1 are celebrating a hat-trick of York & District Netball League titles.

The club won all their matches and gave away only three points all season, and two of those were to their seconds, who finished third. Jess Hodgson was drafted into the eight-strong squad, joining the established line-up of Donna Curran, Holly Barritt, Lizzie Pickup, Emma Caywood, Nikki Bailey, Gemma Summerbell and captain Gemma Gibson.

Rufforth (Arrows) were the team to split Haxby 1 and 2 by again finishing as runners-up, a position they have achieved for three years since re-entering the top flight.

Haxby’s third team found the going tough and will drop to division two along with Millers 1.

Replacing them in division one will be division two champions Osbaldwick ‘A’, who were successful in their first season outside the top flight in more than 30 years.

Ainsty Panthers are promoted for the fifth year in succession from division six to division one.

Division three champions York St John were unbeaten and they were promoted with Rawcliffe 3.

Elvington 2 won division four and club-mates Elvington 3 join them in division three.

Division five was decided on goal average, with Hemingbrough 1 edging out Tadcaster. Champions of division six were Scarborough, ahead of Hemingbrough 2.

Goal average also came into play in division seven, with Bootham Belles and York CSSC going up ahead of Sherburn ‘A’. Unbeaten Ainsty Panthers won division eight.
