YORK IBC ‘A’-team opened up their Yorkshire Over-55s League first division season with a maximum haul.
They dumped Doncaster 94-72 to rake in 18 points.
Fred Clayden’s team led 19-6 at half-way before sealing a 28-16 home victory, while Malcolm Thompson’s side bounced back from a seven-point deficit to wrap up a 22-18 win.
It was much tighter in the away ties, where Graham Instone’s rink won 21-16 while Eric Hodgson’s men held on for a slender 23-22 conquest.
