YORK Club & Institute Union retained the George Williams Trophy for a fourth successive year after beating the York Amateur Bowls Association side 103-96 at the York Railway Institute's Ashton Lane green.
In the clash of the president's rinks, CIU president Terry Wheatley came out on top with a crushing 26-10 win over Graham Bell's side.
With John Cooper's rink winning by 17 shots, CIU's overall victory was secured despite the rink of YABA's Steve Atkinson winning by 19 shots.
