PETE MILLS won the latest Shepherds Angling Club match on the tidal stretch of the River Ouse at Acaster.
The match started at high tide and, with an upstream breeze, waggler proved to be the better option.
Mills snared an all-roach catch of 15lb 9oz caught on hemp and tares, which included a roach of 1lb 5oz.
Second was Alan Moult with 12lb 8oz of roach, again caught on hemp and tares, and third was Matt Crowl with a mixed bag of skimmers, roach and perch, caught on feeder and weighing 8lb 15oz.
The New Earswick Angling Club match on Brafferton's F1 Lake was won by John Boyne with a haul of 48lb 3oz, ahead of Kevin Holmes with 33lb 15oz and Max Renshaw with 24lb 4oz.
