YORK’S Russ Turpin was a clear winner of the York & District Amalgamation of Anglers’ Early Spring Members Match.
Turpin’s haul of 66lb 10oz ensured he came out on top in the 22-strong field on Marley pool at Laybourne Lakes.
G Smith was second with 55lb 9oz, while R Darling’s 53lb earned him third and A Malham was fourth with 47lb.
The amalgamation will stage a veterans’ match at Laybourne Lakes on Wednesday, while the late spring match will be held at the same venue on Sunday, May 12.
