A SEVEN-BALL win for Nigel Macdonald helped Dringhouses ‘A’ maintain top spot in the Spectacular Driveways John Smith’s Sunday Pool League.
There were also wins for Alan Horner, Mark Taylor, Graham Pinder and a double for Lisa Macdonald in a 7-2 victory over Dick Turpin, who had successes through Craig Blackburn and Jordon Chappelow.
Second-placed Clifton went down 6-3 to Dringhouses ‘B’.
Dring winners were Martin Witcombe, Chris Storey and doubles for Ricki James and John Patrick, while Clifton’s wins came from Jonny Mitchell and Steve Scott senior.
Crystal Palace ‘B’ beat Mitre ‘B’ 5-4 with wins for Neil Mathen, Gerry Jackson, Kym Done, Steve Dunning and Paul Stott. Raff Ingriselli tried his best to gain victory for Mitre with three frame wins.
Double wins for Matthew Corr and Martin Ackroyd helped Palace ‘A’ beat Mitre ‘A’ 6-3. There was a 6-3 win for Corner House over a struggling Fulford Arms team, who could only manage three players.
