THAI boxer Adam Hoffman is already attracting the attention of various promoters after a classy display brought a second win in his second outing.

The 23-year-old 72-kilogramme light-middleweight, who fights out of York’s Chokdee Academy, saw off an opponent from Stepping Razor Gym in Leeds in some style, winning a unanimous points decision following five oneand- a-half-minute rounds of battle.

Coach Richard Cadden, the twice world champion, said of the victory at the Kao Loi Show in Harrogate: “He put on a classy performance. He worked really well behind his punches and pushkicks and controlled the fight from beginning to end, despite the aggressive nature of his opponent.

“He won on points but dominated and in the last round or so did brilliantly with his clinch work and good-quality knees.”

Hoffman, a former All Saints School pupil, now lives in Goole but travels for regular training sessions in York at his own expense. Added Cadden: “He basically puts all his money into his training and to put such dedication into it is brilliant.

“We’re not sure when he’ll fight next but a few promoters spoke to me after this win because he was so classy.”
