POCKLINGTON Rocket Harry Matthews was comfortably out-pointed in his televised clash with rising ring star Chris Eubank junior.

Eubank, the son of ex-world supermiddle-weight champion Chris Eubank, was adjudged to have won all six three-minute rounds at the Hillsborough Leisure Centre on Saturday.

It was 24-year-old Matthews’ sixth pro defeat – his record also includes 12 wins and a draw – but he received plaudits for a battling display.

Eubank junior, 22, has racked up four wins from four pro outings and he was delighted to continue his education with a win over Matthews on Channel Five.

“It was a great learning experience,” he said. “I have got six good rounds under my belt.

“I knew I could have stopped him from the third round on, but I used it as a learning curve.”
