Certain things happen when we are young that always stick in the memory.
As a youngster watching Yorkshire play cricket at Park Avenue whenever I could get there, many sixes must have been hit.
The only one I remember was when the tall raw boned left-hand spinner, also a cack-hander when batting, Don Wilson hit the clock at the stand that separated the cricket and soccer grounds.
A true six or out tailender was Don.
Thanks for this indelible memory. Rest in peace.
