THE Acorn Tagability Club for young people with a learning or physical disability is looking for new members.
The club was set up by the Ebor Schools Sport Partnership and York Acorn ARLC coach Mick Anderson to provide young people with a disability the opportunity to play tag rugby.
The popular club is switching from Acorn’s Thanet Road base to Millthorpe School’s gym and has appealed for new members.
Anderson said: “The young people who come to the club have made great progress and, with more players, we are looking to start playing matches against other similar clubs.
“We are also planning a tagability competition in the summer, when we hope to attract many more young people with a disability from across the county.”
The club meets on Wednesdays between 6pm and 7pm. Sessions cost £2.50 to cover the hire of the hall. Further information is available by phoning Mick on 07922 067588 or Val French on 07795 112546.
