ALEX EXTON, one of an exciting crop of young players in the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League, checked out on 84 and mother Dawn hit three tons as last season's champions Fulfordgate were denied a full house by Marcia landlady Linda Penrose.

Priory had Clair Cooper and Babs Harrison hitting the tons as they made home advantage count with a 6-3 win against division one visitors Severus 'A'.

Edinburgh captain Chris Lamb gamed in 25 after her side fell behind to visitors Burnholme; Marj Pearson, Jean West started them off before Emma Frankland and Anthea Jamieson joined Lamb to edge in front. Lynne Wilstrop levelled before Jane Dobson/Claire Murphy again edged Burnholme in front.

Lamb was joined by Claire Jamieson as they set up a decider which saw West and Caroline Whittaker securing victory for the clubside.

Despite being a player light, Sandra Bruce, Tracey Watkinson and Danni Laycock took Shoulder into the pairs on level terms at Leeman 'B'. Julie Oliver and Louise Warren were winners for Leeman, Bruce won a lone hand pairs then Wendy Shortle/Anne Bass sealed victory.

Sammy Benton and Kate Rankeillor set Clockhouse ticking before Elaine Metcalfe (134, 120), Ann Parkyn, and Vicky Sellars put Slipper on the sheet. Rose Gray levelled to send the teams into the pairs all square.

Sellars/Sue Tate edged the visitors in front before Kate and Sarah Rankeillor set up a decider where Parkyn combined with Jody Hancock to snatch match points.

Saddle had final pairing Sharon Nelson/Liz Jackson doing the same job after they fought back against visitors Clifton who had taken a 4-3 lead thanks to Cris Turgoose/Sarah Evans.

Shoulder 'B' had Carol Price, Lisa Russell, Alison Buckley and Sandra Flintoft to thank for a 4-2 advantage as Leeman 'A's Denise Pittock, Janet Nelson gained points. The visitors' comeback continued as Jackie Gray/Margaret Yeomans and Pittock/ Margaret Schofield levelled. Captain Buckley and Flintoft combined to secure match points.

Wendy Sullivan hit 134 and a pair of tons for Tramways who fell 9-2 at Burton Stone, Sandra Pallister sealing victory.
