FULFORDGATE moved a step closer to winning the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League division one title with a 9-2 away win at Marcia.

Cara Britton, Dawn Exton, Michelle Britton (94co) and mother Muriel Britton (70co) put the visitors in command before a 24 dart leg from Marcia captain Faye Hawksby pulled one back. Jill Reed sealed victory before Fulfordgate added two pairs wins to their tally.

Second placed Burnholme recovered from 4-2 down to beat Tramways 7-4.

Tracey and daughters Natalie and Lauren Farmeary were joined by Bev Harton for Tramways points. Caroline Whittaker and Sharon Neads kept Burnholme in the hunt and sisters Sarah Jackson/Jane Dobson snatched match points after Neads/Whittaker had set up the decider.

Third placed Priory had Clair Cooper hitting a maximum and Babs Harrison checking out on bull, however, visitors Shoulder ‘A’ had Anne Bass/Sue Tate snatching match points in a decider.

Emma Frankland and Julie Stables gave Edinburgh a two point foot hold at Bootham Cons Club before Nella Majsterek and Linda Staveley levelled.

Donna Lynes and Anthea Jamieson restored Edinburgh’s advantage then Stables/Lynes joined forces to secure victory. Amanda Bevan/Jamieson added to the tally for an 8-3 away victory.

In division two, front runners Severus 'B' found themselves two down at Saddle thanks to wins for Kath Powell and Vicky McClaren. However, it was to be their last points as Angie Kaya, Ann Meek, Sue Gillon and Michelle Kelly replied and a clean sweep in the pairs saw the club side secure a 9-2 win.

Captain Debbie Witts led Leeman 'A' from the front against Clockhouse, winning the opening game, before colleagues Janet Nelson, Margaret Yeomans, and Dawn Clarke added points.

Clockhouse finally ticked with Laura Gatenby and Kate Rankeillor winning, however, Jackie Gray/Nelson combined to secure match points.

Nags had victory at Clifton sewn up within the pairs, Elaine Metcalfe sealing the points with a 73 two dart finish.

Severus 'A' are keeping their 'B' team in sight but were pushed all the way by visitors Burton Stone who had Sandra Pallister (77co) and Katrina Thackeray hitting the tons. However, the club side secured the match points when Carol Robson/Davina Shannon won in the second pairs.
