YORK reached the final of the Yorkshire County Fours competition after a thrilling 21-20 victory over Thornaby.
John Stroughair's quartet will now play Featherstone in the final at New Earswick on Sunday, March 5.
They led Steve Slaughter's side 14-7 in the semi-final but the Thornaby four struck back to level with a four, a two a single.
On the penultimate end, York found themselves three down but, with his last wood, David Stroughair moved the jack from two Thornaby woods to five of his own to give his side a two-shot cushion going into the last, where they dropped a single but held on for victory.
David Stroughair nearly made it a double as he and Joan Jackson just missed out in the Mixed Pairs semi-finals.
They tried to pull back a two-shot deficit on their last end but dropped a single to lose 18-15 to Redcar's Alan Jones and Beryl Alderson.
