MICHELLE BRITTON of Fulfordgate was crowned York John Smith's Ladies Darts League individual champion in an epic tussle with Tramways’ Tracey Farmeary.
She also won the captain/vice-captain competition, making it a trophy treble, having already led her team to the league title.
After a nervy start in the individual final, the Tramways captain had a slender advantage until Britton hit a 129 which gave her first go at the double finish. Her miss allowed Farmeary to check on double 16.
Britton then showed her intent with 92 and a ton. Farmeary responded with a 121 but the Fulfordgate captain finished on double 16 for a 24 dart leg.
The deciding leg was a thriller.
Britton's 121 was countered by Farmeary's ton, then after century apiece, a 140 from the Fulfordgate ace saw Farmeary follow with a maximum.
Both players missed winning chances before Britton closed on double top to claim the title in 21 darts.
It was a busy night for Britton as she was joined in the pairs by Dawn Exton against Tramway's Sue Lowery and Carole Layne.
The Fulford players gained the upper hand with a double 10 finish from Britton after her partner had missed a 120 closure.
Lowery hit a timely ton in the second leg and on her next visit closed on double ten to take the final into a deciding leg.
The teams traded 80s and 90s with Tramways reaching the double first and Layne securing the title with a double four.
The same pairings met again in the captain and vice-captain's trophy where Britton started with a 140 and Layne replied with 133.
Exton chipped in with 130. Layne hit two 95s to maintain the pressure before Tramways captain Lowery took the leg with a double five.
The Fulford pair levelled with some top scoring. Layne's 121 was the highlight before Britton checked on 15, double tops.
In the decider, Lowery started with a ton - the only one of the leg - and both pairs missed chances before Britton closed on 71 with a double 18 checkout for her second title of the night.
The triples involved two other members of the Britton clan - mother Muriel and granddaughter Cara who were joined by Jill Reed.
Sarah Jackson, sister Jane Dobson and Sharon Neads formed the opposing Burnholme trio.
Top scoring by Muriel Britton and a double six checkout saw Fulfordgate go one up.
Dobson and Neads scored well for Burnholme but steady scoring from the Fulford trio again culminated in Muriel Britton closing out with a double ten for victory, and her steady scoring and finishing prowess saw her named the player of the night.
