Jackson's win inspired her team as sister Jane Dobson sealed the match points within the singles after colleague Sharon Neads had checked on bull.

The pairs went the way of the club team, before Majsterek-Linda Staveley took the last game to go down 7-2.

Jubilee were prevented from a full house by Acomb's Rose Gray, whose team hit the tons but not the all important doubles.

Ox 'B' were tied at 3-3 with visitors Fulfordgate. Flossy Crampton, Anne Bass and Sandra Bruce set the tone for Ox and Muriel Britton, granddaughter Cara Britton and Jill Reed were on target for ‘Gate.

In division two, Saddle captain Doreen England won the opening game but visitors Edinburgh still went to town.

Julie Stables, Chris Lamb, Amanda Bevan, Emma Frankland and Donna Lynes secured the match and then added two pairs successes to their score.

Shoulder had only Vicky Sellers troubling the scorers in the singles as visitors Severus ‘B’ had Wendy Storr securing match points in a 6-3 success.

Clifton won by the same margin, Karen Hodgson closing 92 in the first pairs with Alice Turgoose after visitors Leeman had Janet Nelson and Dawn Clarke giving them a 2-0 advantage.

Burton WMC and visitors Green Tree were both a player light - Sandra Flintoft and Jackie Young giving the visitors a good start before Sheila Harrison put Burton on the score sheet.

Kirsty Limbert and Alison Buckley edged the visitors further in front then Flintoft-Limbert put the result out of the club side's reach. Young closed double 7, double 2 double 15 in an alternative way to get 48.
