TERRY Temple enjoyed a 5-0 victory over Dean Conley in the ninth ranking event of the Streamline Taxis York Open Darts Championships.

The Whitwell-on-the-Hill ace checked out in 17-16 and 16 darts against Copley, who threw a 180 in defeat.

Temple (2x18-17 and 15) also whitewashed Tim Grice in the semi-finals while Conley conquered Kev Richmond 4-1.

The furthest lady prize was won by Tina Platt with Good and Jamie Branton sharing the furthest youth award and John Bowler throwing 131 to take the Embassy Racing Highest Checkout of the Day.

That finish was also achieved by Leighton Bennet as he went out in 15 darts while winning the youth event, with Lewis Day the runner-up.

In the eighth ranking event, York's Limbert was edged out 5-4 by Mexborough's PDC ace Johnson, who included 2x180s in legs of 19-16-14-16 before taking the decider in 15.

Limbert responded with 3x180 and 118 and 161 finishes in his winning legs of 15-12-20 and 21.

In the semi-finals, Johnson defeated Temple 4-3 with Limbert (2x180 in legs of 15-17-16 and 17) defeating Richie Corner (2x180 in legs of 16-15 and 14) by the same margin.

Earlier Johnson produced a 180 for 17 and 20 to beat Mark Hartley (20) 3-1 in the last eight.

Scott Bennett included a 125 finish but went down 3-2 to Temple, while Limbert hit 16-14 and 180 for 18-dart legs in his 3-0 win over Mark Lawrence and Corner (141 finish for 15 and 14) also defeated Dave Copley without dropping a leg.

Limbert's 161 was the Embassy Racing Highest Checkout of the Day, while Tracy Marran was furthest lady and Josh Sabin furthest youth.

The Highest Checkout of the day, sponsored by Embassy Racing (York), was won by Limbert with a 161 finish. The furthest lady was Tracy Marran with Josh Sabin winning the furthest youth.

Good beat Day in the final of the youth event.

The ninth ranking event will take place today at Huntington WMC with registration 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
