SANDRA BRUCE (125, 100) was joined by Ox ‘B’ captain Maggie Tottie to take the deciding leg at York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League division one rivals Tramways ‘A’.

The duo sealed the win with a 23-dart pairs leg after the singles had been deadlocked at 3-3.

Tramways had Carole Layne (25) and Jo Hodges (26) starring, while Denise Fowler excelled for Ox.

Fulfordgate regained top spot but they were denied a full house by Ox ‘A’ stalwart Wendy Sullivan.

Gate had Jill Reed finishing on 72 (18, 18, double top) and Muriel Britton closing with 64 with a brace of double 16s.

Anne Bass was a triple ton scorer, while new young prospect Cara Britton won both her matches.

Faye Hawksby, Sharon Rishworth (117, 115) and Chris Hayward gave Marcia ‘B’ a solid start against visitors Burnholme, whose Caroline Whittaker, Lynne Willstrop and Jane Dobson levelled.

The pairing of Willstrop and Marj Pearson edged the club side in front, but the home team rallied, Sue Smith and Barbara Russell levelling before the Hayward and Rishworth axis finished the job.

All-square in the singles, Edinburgh and Severus ‘A’ were finally separated by the former’s pairs combinations topped by Anthea Jamieson and Chris Lamb.

Severus ‘B’ demolished Marcia ‘A’, whose lone point came in the pairs via Stacy Morris and Penny Francksten.

Jubilee ‘A’ increased their hold on the division two summit. Louise Warren, captain Heather Bulmer, Julie Oliver and Tracey Yeomans enabled them to enter the pairs with a commanding 4-2 advantage against neighbours Leeman, whose Charlotte Witts and Jackie Gray starred. Bulmer and Laura Heward sealed the victory.

Green Tree beat visitors Saddle by the smallest of margins.
