MARCIA ‘A’ were toppled by their ‘B’ team in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Clair Cooper gamed in 19 darts, including a 165 and 123, and Marcia ‘A’ colleagues Babs Harrison and captain Di Moreland enabled them to enter the pairs on level terms.

The ‘B’ team, whose Joan Hunter, Faye Hawksby and Barbara Russell were singles points scorers, edged in front as Hawksby combined with Chris Hayward. Carol Perrett and Ann Anderson set up a decider, but Russell and Sharon Rishworth secured match points.

Tramways ‘B’ captain Tracey Farmeary led from the front with a 20-dart leg as visitors Severus ‘A’ had to wait until the final game to score a point through Steph Barker and Jackie Simpson.

Leaders Fulfordgate had Michelle Britton firing a 23-darter, including a 140 and a 100, and Cara Britton claiming a 24-dart leg with a 92 checkout.

Muriel Britton and Dawn Exton helped them to a 4-0 advantage before visitors Burnholme troubled the scorers. Caroline Whittaker and Jane Dobson narrowed the gap before Exton and Jill Reed sealed victory.

Newcomers Severus ‘B’ are keeping Gate in touching distance after a win over Tramways ‘A’.

Wendy Storr, Sharon Mountain, Anne Meek and Michelle Kelly enabled them to enter the pairs with a 4-2 advantage. Carole Layne and Sue Lowery were Tramways’ winners. Sellars and Jan Stuart secured victory for the home side, with Storr and Angie Kaya adding to the scoreline.

Castle Howard Ox ‘B’ were tied at 3-3 entering the pairs against visitors Edinburgh. The home team polished off the remaining games for a 6-3 result through Maggie Tottie and Denise Fowler, Flossy Crampton and Kate Ford, and Sandra Bruce and Sue Tate.

Shoulder are in pole position in division two after beating visitors Green Tree 6-3. Hannah Smith, Sue Tate and Doreen Johnstone won their singles, with Kerry Humble, Alison Buckley and Sandra Flintoft replying.

However, a clean sweep in the pairs propelled Shoulder to the top.

Clifton captain Cris Turgoose gamed in 25 darts and wins for Alice Turgoose, Linda Turgoose, Dorothy Barker and Freda Harman put the result out of Acomb’s grasp. Rose Gray broke Acomb’s duck.

Julie McKie and Liz Jackson gave Saddle the lead at Jubilee ‘A’, whose Julie Oliver and Vicki Capes levelled. Kath Powell restored the visitors’ advantage, but it was their last point as Jub captain Heather Bulmer started a four-game winning run.

CRESCENT ‘B’ downed The Ebor 6-1 in division one of the York White Rose Ladies Darts League.

Ebor’s Roz Kerr hit a 120 in the pairs with Christina Davison but they lost to Angie Hurst and Liza Moore, who fired a 140.

Lord Collingwood lost 5-2 at home to leaders Flag & Whistle. Chris Hedley scored a 134 to win the fifth Flag point
