ALDWARK MANOR'S duo of Denise Wilson and Anne Mead swept to victory on their home course.
The duo scored a superb stableford 43 points in taking top spot in the York Union of Golf Clubs' second Ladies Winter competition - three points clear of Malton & Norton's Carol Simpson and Sue Bellion.
Pat Ruddock and Pat Hague, also of Malton, were third on 38 points. For Simpson, it was the second time she had narrowly failed to scoop top honours.
At the first tournament, at Forest Park three weeks ago, she also had to settle for second best and will be hoping to go one better when the final ladies winter event takes place next March at The York Golf Club, in Strensall.
