IT’S the game of the day in Coca-Cola One and Leeds United are up for the challenge.

United head for East Anglia and a showdown against leaders Norwich City, who sit one place and eight points above Simon Grayson’s men after a quite astounding turn-around in 2010.

In that time Leeds, who held a considerable advantage at the top, have mustered a mere three victories, while the Canaries have soared to the prime perch on a roustabout run of form.

The latest setback for United was the 2-0 home defeat to fellow promotion-chasing rivals Millwall, but midfielder Micky Doyle rallied the Elland Road troops ahead of the Carrow Road duel.

Said Doyle: “We are going through a bad spell but the plus is that it is still in our own hands so we have to prepare well for tomorrow and go out there and give a massive performance and get back on track.”

Added the midfielder: “We are making it difficult for ourselves but we have got nine games left to put it right.

“Nobody will do us a favour. We have to do it ourselves and we have to stick together.”

With centre-back Patrick Kisnorbo possibly out for several weeks with injury, manager Grayson has signed former Scotland Under-21 defender Neill Collins on loan until the end of the season from Preston.

It is understood moves were also being made to get Aston Villa’s Shane Lowry back at Elland Road for a second loan stint.

Grayson is also hopeful 27-goal leading scorer Jermaine Beckford will be back from the hamstring injury that kept him out of the Millwall clash.
