WINGER Robert Snodgrass is in line for a Leeds United recall after sparing his side’s blushes at the weekend.

Snodgrass was dropped after the disappointing midweek defeat to Walsall, but climbed off the bench to earn lacklustre Leeds a late point from Saturday’s 1-1 home draw to lowly Brighton.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson is now expected to reward Snodgrass with a starting place when sixth-bottom Oldham Athletic visit Elland Road tonight.

Speaking ahead of this evening’s game, Snodgrass admitted that he had been below par against Walsall, saying: “It was one of the worst performances I’ve had for Leeds United and that’s not got out of my head. I’ve always worked hard and tried my best but, for whatever reason, it did not happen against Walsall. The gaffer has made some good decisions this season when we have nicked the points and I came on and got the goal on Saturday.”

A win would move Grayson’s men joint top with Norwich City at the head of the League One table and also open up a gap of four points on in-form Colchester United, but Leeds have just one victory from their last eight matches.

The Latics will be captained by former United defender Sean Gregan, who is now 35.
