FINISH with a flourish and maybe even with another goal - that’s the hope of Leeds United’s York-born prospect Charlie Taylor.

The left-back, who has been operating in a freer and more forward attacking role on the left flank marked United’s return to winning form with a goal in the 2-1 triumph at Sheffield Wednesday.

Now he has got that milestone out of the way he wants more, hopefully in the campaign’s Championship closer tomorrow at home to a Rotherham United side, who, in midweek, secured their escape from relegation.

His strike in the downing of the Owls was his second of the season and the 21-year-old Academy product added: “It was a bit scrappy. I just reacted.

“It hit the wall and ricocheted about and I tucked it into the back of the net. With playing in the more advanced role recently, goals is something you’ve got to add to your game.”

After ending a five-match losing run with victory in a Yorkshire derby, Taylor, who made four appearances for York City on loan in 2012, is keen for a second successive triumph over county rivals.

“To get the result (at Hillsborough) in such a big game for the fans is just extra special and one to savour,” he said.

“It just shows the character of everyone to come out of that game with a result, it’s brilliant.”
