LEEDS United will be looking to eradicate costly mistakes when they host Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship at Elland Road tomorrow night (7.45pm).

The Whites are still reeling from Saturday’s 3-2 defeat against Watford, which came after they had led 2-0 with only 20 minutes gone.

United captain Liam Cooper rued the errors that proved their downfall against the Hornets, and said: “Silly mistakes cost us, you could say. We’ve just got to take it on the chin, man up and change it tonight.”

Having lost to Watford and Brighton in quick succession, Cooper is desperate to bounce back.

Cooper said: “We’ve come off the back of a great run and then lost the last two so everyone is disappointed, but it’s up to us to turn it around.”

Meanwhile, the working group that is supporting fan ownership of Leeds has confirmed they will try to meet with Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe next month.

Crowe, a lifelong Leeds fan, caused a media storm last week when he asked his Twitter followers whether or not he should buy the club.

Leeds LLP responded favourably and will try and initiate face-to-face contact with Crowe when he returns to the country next month.

A statement from LLP read: “Russell is back in the UK next month and we will try to get a face to face to see if we can get something more concrete from him.”
