LITTLE JIMMY ODSOX, so named because he’s got three white legs and one bay one, can show his rivals a clean pair of heels at Redcar tomorrow on his handicap debut.

Trained at Great Habton by Tim Easterby, the three-year-old failed to make it to a racecourse after falling foul of a series of niggling little problems.

Little Jimmy Odsox finally made it to the track at Doncaster last month and, despite being understandably green, won a maiden race at 16-1.

The form of that race does not amount to a great deal, but that is reflected in the rating the handicapper has handed to Little Jimmy Odsox, who is set to race off a useful-looking mark of 67 in the Skybet Supporting The Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival Handicap.

He takes on seasoned rivals tomorrow, but Little Jimmy Odsox can overcome his relative inexperience by showing them the way home. David Allan has the mount.

Shane B Kelly, who is attached to John Quinn’s Norton yard, takes the mount on the nap selection Harvey’s Hope in the Betfair Racing Apprentice Jockeys’ Handicap.

Trained by Keith Reveley, Harvey’s Hope has finished second on his last two outings, a maiden race here and a handicap at Ripon won by the in-form Fossgate. He can get his head in front this time.

Dale Swift scored on Timeless Elegance earlier in the week at Ayr and the crack Norton claimer can produce an encore in the tyregiant.com Handicap.

Trained by Howard Johnson, Timeless Elegance turned in a slick sprinting display in Scotland to beat Mango Music and a 6lb penalty may not prove enough to halt her as she bids for a quick follow up.

In the Help For Heroes And Yorkshire Regiment Fillies’ Handicap, it may be unwise to overlook the claims of Qeethaara, trained by Mark Brisbourne and chasing a hat-trick of wins.

Successful in an apprentices’ race at Warwick, she went in again without a penalty at Pontefract. The handicapper has since raised her 3lb, which looks lenient and she commands plenty of respect once more.

At Stratford, Princely Hero goes for a four-timer in the featured Claydon Horse Exercisers Handicap Chase.

Chris Gordon’s gelding is a quirky sort – he looked a reluctant hero for the first mile of his race at Southwell last Sunday before running out a ready winner – but he is in great heart at present. He will find this a tougher test, but the seven-year-old is no mean performer and is hard to dismiss lightly.

Carter, a seven lengths winner on this course on his latest start, promises to be a tough nut to crack in the opening novices’ hurdle, while the in-form Denton Ryal is likewise worthy of attention in the selling hurdle.

In the Claydon Horse Exercisers National Hunt Flat Race, Richie McLernon and Jonjo Neill have strong claims with the promising Rollinrollinrollin, while Gulf President, a respectable second at Ffos Las on his seasonal debut, should go well under Richie Killoran in the Claydon Horse Exercisers Handicap Hurdle.
