Future Gem, Jamie’s Kyne’s last mount in a race on the eve of his tragic death, runs at Hamilton tomorrow and is fancied to pay his own galloping tribute to the apprentice.

Trained near Thirsk by Allan Dickman, who also provided Kyne with his biggest-ever success on Ishetoo at York in May, Future Gem lines up for the totetrifecta Handicap with Freddie Tylicki in the saddle.

Future Gem’s latest outing, with 18-year-old Kyne in the saddle, saw him finish second to Khelyf after starting favourite.

That race at Catterick on September 4 was over only five furlongs, however, and the gelding found himself at odds with the minimum trip.

His previous two wins, under Tylicki, had been over six furlongs and a return to that trip tomorrow should serve him well. He can land a poignant win in memory of Kyne.

All eyes will be on Major Cadeaux in the totepool Variety Club Conditions Stakes.

Previously trained by Richard Hannon, for whom he won three Group races, the five-year-old then had a short spell at stud before being brought back into training with Richard Fahey.

This trip of six furlongs may be on the short side for him these days, but he is a horse of undoubted class and is plainly not one to underestimate on his keenly awaited return to action.

Fahey won the corresponding race 12 months ago with Knot In Wood.

Dance For Julie can get punters off to a good start in the toteplacepot Nursery.

Trained at Middleham by Patrick Haslam, the juvenile was rewarded for some creditable efforts with a deserved win at Thirsk last time out.

There may be more to come from her yet, and with Patrick Donaghy claiming a valuable 5lb, she should prove hard to beat in this six furlongs dash.

Tadcaster trainer Tom Tate has an interesting runner in the Scottish Building Society Maiden Stakes in Think Its All Over.

The juvenile shaped with promise on his debut in a warm race at Newcastle over seven furlongs.

The benefit of that outing, plus tomorrow’s longer distance should see him in a favourable light.

The totesuper7 Buttonhook Handicap offers Kieren Fallon a winning opportunity aboard Merchant Of Dubai.

Alan Swinbank’s lightly raced four-year-old proved his well-being when dead heating for first place in handicap company at Newmarket on his latest start three weeks ago.

Valid Point is on a roll at present and, despite having soared up the ratings since rattling up a hat-trick of wins, Sir Mark Prescott’s improver merits the utmost respect in the toteswinger Handicap.

Over the jumps at Uttoxeter, Norton trainer John Quinn saddles Evelith Echo in the musicmagpie.com Handicap.

Tough, talented and consistent, Evelith Echo, a winner at Market Rasen last month, should take plenty of beating under Dougie Costello.
