Remarkably for an Easter Saturday, there is only one Flat meeting tomorrow, but Richard Fahey, David Nicholls and Mark Johnston, three of North Yorkshire’s finest trainers, are all expected to make their mark on Kempton’s eight-race programme.

Fahey has made a fine start to the season – he has had two doubles in the last week – and the Malton trainer has every chance of chalking up a treble tomorrow with Extraterrestrial leading the way in the opening Find The Best Odds At oddschecker.com Handicap.

Winner of last season’s Thirsk Hunt Cup, the ex-Irish five-year-old proved himself to be in excellent heart at Doncaster a fortnight ago when he failed by only half-a-length to beat Manasass in the Spring Mile.

That was a cracking effort and, provided the switch from turf to Polytrack tomorrow does not detract from his chances, he should make a bold bid to go one better under Freddie Tylicki, who claims a useful 5lb allowance.

Kyllachy Star is napped to add to Fahey’s haul in the Compare Odds with oddschecker.com Handicap.

There was plenty to like about this three-year-old’s recent comeback outing, when he came from a long way off the pace to finish strongly in fifth place in handicap company, beaten little more than two lengths.

The step up from six furlongs to seven should suit him admirably tomorrow and he should go close under Tony Hamilton.

Mighty Moon (5.25) can be another winner for Fahey. A York winner last season, the grey is fit from hurdling and two miles around this course should suit him well.

David Nicholls has good prospects with Fathsta (3.45) and Royal Dignitary (4.15).

The former, previously a prolific winner for Sylvester Kirk, ran a rock-solid race on his debut for Nicholls when finishing on the heels of the principals in a six furlongs handicap at Doncaster two weeks ago. The step back up to a more suitable seven furlongs should suit him better tomorrow and, furthermore, he is a former winner on this course. Fahey’s Benandonner could be one of his main dangers.

Royal Dignitary should also go well. A gutsy winner on his reappearance at Southwell, he has clearly started the season in tremendous heart for a seasoned veteran.

By contrast, Saint Arch, trained by Mark Johnston, is a relative newcomer to racing. But he has made a big impression already, winning all his three starts in the style of an exciting prospect.

There was a lot to like about the way he disposed of decent handicap rivals over this course and distance last month and he now looks more than ready for this step up into Listed company in the Easter Stakes.

Channel 4 will not only be showing the best of the action from Kempton, but also the first two races from Haydock’s jumps meetings.

Lancashire owner Trevor Hemmings likes nothing better than a winner on his local course and his Broken Beau (2.55) should be closely monitored on his handicap debut for trainer Henry Daly.

Jonjo O’Neill and owner JP McManus could be combination to follow in the opening handicap hurdle with Forty Five (2.25), a much-improved performer who appears to be still on the upgrade.
