Thirsk trainer Alan Dickman, on the mark at Redcar earlier this week with Inter Vision, relies on another of his speedsters in a bid to clinch the feature race at York tomorrow.

Dickman saddles Ishetoo in the £50,000 National Express Scottish Sprint Cup - normally staged at Musselburgh - and this smart four-year-old has every chance of coming out on top in a typically competitive sprint handicap.

A prolific winner last season, Ishetoo was comfortably held by Manzilia on his reappearance at Thirsk two weeks ago, but he stumbled leaving the stalls on that occasion and also ran as though he may have needed his comeback outing.

That race will have done much to bring him to a peak and, although tomorrow's race looks fiendishly difficult to solve, Ishetoo should give a good account of himself and is sportingly napped to provide Dickman with a notable big-race success.

Tranquil Tiger has strong claims in the Stowe Family Law LLP Grand Cup Stakes.

Henry Cecil's four-year-old ran out a wide margin winner at Newbury a fortnight ago. He looks a horse with a bright future and can follow up tomorrow when front-running tactics may again be applied by jockey Ted Durcan.

Tawaash, who got off the mark over seven furlongs at Lingfield three weeks ago, has been allotted a mark of 90 for his handicap debut in the Organs For Life Handicap. Michael Jarvis' colt is worthy of respect.

Jarvis can also score with recent Haydock winner Bukit Tinggi in the Coldstream Guards Association Handicap, while Frankie Dettori can figure on the Knavesmire scoresheet aboard Fleeting Star, a well-bred newcomer from the Jeremy Noseda stable, who is fancied to make a winning debut in the Parsonage Country House Hotel.

In the crazy world in which we now live, where racing fixtures have become a free for all, York tomorrow clashes with fixtures at Doncaster and Haydock.

At Doncaser, a note should be made of Wingbeat in the Rovers Are Up!' Classified Stakes.

Winner of both his races to date, Saeed bin Suroor's charge looked the part when winning a handicap off 86 a couple of weeks ago. This step up in class is fancied to be within his scope.

Seaway (2.35), who was narrowly beaten at Haydock on his debut, is selected to go one better for trainer John Gosden, while the application of a first-time visor and the 7lb allowance of able apprentice Barry McHugh gives the talented, but quirky Fishforcompliments (4.15) a winning chance in the seven-furlong handicap.

Channel 4 Racing, which will cover a brace of races from York, will also feature the first three races from Haydock, where Tajdeef can get punters off to a good start in the Rectangle Group Sandy Lane Stakes. The Barry Hills-trained three-year-old, a creditable runner-up on both his starts this season, should make a bold bid to go one better in this Listed event.

Dark Missile is reunited with Hayley Turner in the Timeform Silver Salver Stakes and Andrew Balding's high-class mare need only produce something like her best form to have a winning chance in this fillies' event.

Linda Perratt has a smart performer in Appalachian Trail, who came from well off the pace to clinch a victory on this course three weeks ago. With Fergal Lynch again in the saddle, the seven-year-old is fancied to follow up in the JW Lees Stakes.
