RICHARD Fahey, triumphant in last Saturday's William Hill Ayr Gold Cup with Don't Touch, one of his six winners on the day, bids to win another sizeable slice of bookmaker money in a major handicap at Newmarket this afternoon.

The Malton trainer fields a three-pronged attack on the Betfred Cambridgeshire Handicap, the pick of which may be THIRD TIME LUCKY, who has proved a prolific winner this season already and who is the pride and joy of Kevin Hubery and Paddy McGinty, two of his joint-owners, who live in Malton.

Three weeks ago, Third Time Lucky won in decisive style at Thirsk for which he picked-up a 4lb penalty in this £160,000 showpiece. It's a tough ask for a three-year-old to capture this 35-runner cavalry charge, especially for a horse who has yet to race beyond a mile.

But Third Time Lucky, who lines up here with stablemates Obsidian and Gabrial's Kaka, is an improver, still on the climb. Plus, he represents a trainer who can do no wrong at the moment. He carries the nap vote.

All eyes will be on SHALAA in the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes.

The John Gosden-trained juvenile has proved unbeatable since breaking his maiden and is now chasing a five-timer after landing a trio of Group races, the July Stakes, the Richmond at Goodwood and, most recently the Prix Morny at Deauville.

He will be very tough to beat under Frankie Dettori.

BESHARAH, who underlined her considerable talents at York last month when winning the Lowther Stakes, can add to her record by winning the Connolly's Red Mills Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes.

Pat Cosgrave again teams-up with the William Haggas-trained juvenile, who has never stopped progressing this season since being stepped up to six furlongs. Winner of four of her six starts, including the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot, Besharah sets a useful standard.

Ryan Moore has wasted no time regaining the winning thread since returning from a two-and-a-half month spell on the sidelines on Thursday. The former champion jockey has good prospects today of a double in the first two races.

Moore partners Sir Michael Stoute's ARISTOCRATIC, a promising horse who ran well on his debut, in the opening Turftrax Maiden Stakes and is also set to ride DEAUVILLE, who is two-from-two, in the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes for Aidan O'Brien.

Also worth noting on this top-notch card are the lightly-raced GIVEAWAY GLANCE (5.00) and CAPTAIN BOB (5.35), who is overdue a winning turn. Opportunity may come knocking for him this afternoon with the in-form Harry Bentley in the saddle.

At Ripon, PIPERS NOTE, set to make his second appearance of the week, is fancied to land the feature race on the card.

The £30,000 Ripon Cathedral City of The Dales Handicap is the target for Pipers Note, trained by Richard Whitaker, and runner-up at Beverley on Tuesday after being hampered at the start. This step back up to six furlongs will suit him and he's got course-winning form to his credit.

Julie Camacho may hold the answer to the SIS Handicap courtesy of TOM SAWYER, the mount of Tony Hamilton.

The gelding finished a neck second to Margret's Gift at Beverley last time and is fancied to reverse the placings with that winner this afternoon.

Hamilton also has good prospects on the progressive DOLPHIN VISTA in the Ripon Land Rover Nursery Handicap and PAMUSHANA, who steps up to a mile and a half for the first time in the Theakston Legendary Ales Handicap.
