REGGIE Bond makes the long journey from North Yorkshire to his favourite Wolverhampton venue today in a bid to gain his fifth success at the course.

All but one of the gelding's career wins have been achieved at the all-weather track, which clearly suits him well.

Trained by Geoff Oldroyd at Brawby, near Malton, the five-year-old is a namesake for his Pocklington owner-breeder Reg Bond, who has seen his colours carried to victory twice since the middle of the summer by the five-year-old at Wolverhampton.

His latest victory was last month by a decisive margin of more than three lengths from Berlusca in the hands of George Chaloner, while in June, Reggie Bond scored by three-quarters of a length from Warfare under Barry McHugh, who has the mount again this afternoon.

The Post Your Winners @ Bookies.com Handicap is the target of Reggie Bond, who, despite having climbed the weights, is fancied to extend his winning record at his favoured venue.

Amber Mystique, trained by Richard Fahey, whose massive yard was a prime target for visitors to yesterday's Malton Stables' Open Day, should go well in the British Stallion Studs Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

The juvenile shaped up well on her debut to chase home the well-regarded Continental Lady at Leicester at the end of July. She now has to cope with the switch from grass to an artificial surface, but there is no reason why that should pose any real problems. Freddie Tylicki has the mount on Amber Mystique, who has claims in what looks to be a competitive race.

Natalie Hambling, who is attached to the Fahey stable, has been booked by James Unett to ride Clary in the opening Download Our IPhone app Apprentice Handicap.

Hambling has ridden three winners this season, two of which have been achieved on this course. Clary has yet to strike on an all-weather surface, but the gelding was a winner at Ffos Las on his seasonal debut and has since run well in defeat at the same track. He should give Hambling a good ride.

In the Holiday Inn Wolverhampton Nursery Handicap, Cote D'Azur may be good enough to come out on top.

Trained by Sir Mark Prescott, the colt finished third in handicap company at Kempton on his latest start when he was beaten by less than three lengths by the winner Premier Currency.

Cote D'Azur may not have to improve much on that effort to break his maiden here with Luke Morris in the saddle.

Also worth noting at the Tapeta track are Sunrise Dance (3.40), who has run well lately at Thirsk and Redcar and who is a previous winner on this course, and Full Of Speed (4.10), who is overdue a winning turn after three placed efforts.

At Brighton, Captain Ryan is napped to win the Arc Racing Syndicate Handicap.

The gelding, trained by Peter Makin, has finished runner-up on his last two starts at Bath, where he had won in June, and Lingfield. His consistency deserves another reward and opportunity may come knocking for him here with Steve Drowne in the saddle.

Matilda's Law gets the vote in the Papajohns.co.uk Maiden Auction Stakes.

Chris Wall's filly has run well in her two starts to date, at Leicester and Lingfield. Although a beaten favourite on her latest start, she can recover losses this time. Chris Catlin has been booked to ride.

Recent winner Katniss (3.00) and course winner Flutterbee (3.30) are two others worth considering on the card.
