RICHARD Fahey is hoping that Ryan Moore's magic, which he has weaved all week at Royal Ascot, can work the oracle in today's final round action when the Malton trainer aims to win the £175,000 Wokingham Handicap for the second successive year.

Twelve months ago, Fahey saddled Baccarat to take this massive sprinting prize and this afternoon it's the turn of nap selection TATLISU, the mount of Moore, who has been truly dominant at this meeting and is on course to set a new record number of winners ridden at the most prestigious festival on the Flat calendar.

Tatlisu was a winner at Doncaster on his seasonal debut before finishing a close-up third at Ripon and fourth at York's Dante Festival, his two defeats coming in competitive handicaps.

The gelding is in another major handicap here, but he looks well drawn in stall 26, will wear blinkers for the first time and, perhaps most importantly given the way this week is panning out, has Moore in the saddle.

Speed will also be on show in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes and York-based jockey Robert Winston has an excellent chance of scooping the honours in this Group 1 showpiece on TROPICS, one of his regular mounts, trained by Dean Ivory.

The seven-year-old has held his own in top speed tests in recent years and made a bright start to the season when winning in Listed company at Windsor last month when he broke the course record.

He obviously has a good deal more on his plate today, but Tropics has won over this course and distance. Although only ninth to Slade Power in this race last year, Ivory's stable star went on to finish second to that rival in the July Cup and a reproduction of that effort would put him firmly in the mix here. David Barron's Pearl Secret, an excellent fourth in the King's Stand Stakes on Tuesday, turns out again and has to be respected. But the Thirsk speedster has never won over this distance of six furlongs.

Ryan Moore, who will be aboard Due Diligence for Aidan O'Brien in the Diamond Jubilee, also teams up with the trainer in the opening Chesham Stakes.

Their representative is BALLYDOYLE. Although a beaten favourite on his debut four weeks ago, any horse bestowed with the name of his trainer's famous establishment must be useful. Ballydoyle is definitely worth another chance.

Moore can shine further on TELESCOPE in the Hardwicke Stakes.

Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, the top-class five-year-old won this Group 2 race 12 months ago and looks every bit as good now as he was then after his recent Newbury success. Stoute has a stranglehold on this race as he also runs Hillstar and Snow Sky.

While Moore could also win the closing Queen Alexandra Stakes on Willie Mullins' WICKLOW BRAVE, unbeaten in two starts this season, he is taken to be scuppered in the Wolferton Handicap on Provenance by Paul Hanagan on MAHSOOB.

John Gosden's unbeaten colt looked good at Newbury on his debut this season and even better when following up at York's Dante Festival. He should give Hanagan a fine ride in this Listed event, in which Paul Mulrennan teams up with Mark Johnston's Fire Fighting, on whom he won the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar last month.
