RACEHORSE trainers Ann and George Duffield are hold a yearling parade at their Constable Burton yard this Sunday.

The duo will be showing off more than 28 young horses they have acquired at recent sales at Newmarket, Doncaster and Fairyhouse.

The morning, which starts at 11am, will be held at Sun Hill Stables and will be compered by well known racing broadcaster Simon Mapletoft. Jockey PJ McDonald will also be on hand to talk to guests.

Ann Duffield said: “The yearlings on display include 12 colts and 16 fillies, plus the highly rated two-year-old Group horse Astrophysics and have each cost between £6,000 and £130,000. We are exceptionally excited about them.

“They are without a doubt the most exciting looking bunch we have had with the potential to become seriously good two-year-olds next year and follow in the footsteps of other previous stable stars such as Willie the Whipper, Melody of Love and George Dryden.

“It will be a very friendly and informal morning, for which we are producing an interesting booklet detailing each of the yearlings.

“This has been an excellent season, especially for our two- year-olds, and we hope to continue the trend of unearthing quality youngsters and increasing their value considerably for the owners.

“We pride ourselves on Sun Hill being a friendly yard where everyone is approachable, and where owners are welcomed and made to feel at home. We have had so much fun this year and we can’t wait to show our yearlings off and to welcome current – and hopefully new – owners too."
