STOLEN GLANCE is worth a second look at Southwell tomorrow.

Trained at Sheriff Hutton by Mick Easterby, the three-year-old goes for the Experience Nottinghamshire Handicap and is napped to register her first win on the sand course to go with the success she gained on Southwell's grass course earlier in the year.

The mount of Paul Mulrennan, Stolen Glance comes into this race after two creditable placed efforts, the latest being at Pontefract last month when she finished third to Dium Mac.

Easterby's horses are in decent form and there is every reason to think that Stolen Glance can clinch this 11-furlong event.

Declan Carroll, who has recently moved from Warthill to Sledmere, can lift the Arena Leisure Handicap with Shifty.

Although backers of the gelding will have to forgive him an unplaced effort on this course last week behind California Laws, Shifty had previously won here in pleasing style over seven furlongs.

The step up to a mile tomorrow will not inconvenience Shifty, already a course-and-distance winner, and he promises to go well under Danny Tudhope.

Bodden Bay provides Carroll with another solid chance in the Book Hospitality Here Handicap, but preference here is for Warden Warren, who underlined his well-being with a victory at Kempton on his latest start.

Although this fibresand surface is slower than the Polytrack at Kempton, Warden Warren has won here in the past. He should go well under apprentice Marc Halford.

At tomorrow's jumping meeting at Folkestone, note should be made of Sobers in the National Hunt Novices' Hurdle.

Previously trained by Richard Guest, who rated the gelding highly, Sobers is now with Nick Gifford, who won this race 12 months ago with Killaghy Castle. His latest representative is worthy of plenty of respect.

Jonjo O'Neill and Tony McCoy, triumphant in Saturday's Paddy Power Gold Cup with Exotic Dancer, can win the Colourdecor Novices' Chase with the potentially useful Garde Champetre.

A winner at Carlisle on his latest start, this former high-class hurdler should work his way up to a lofty level over fences.

* Today's nap is La Colline (Southwell 2.00), a winner at Warwick last time, who looks well weighted for her first foray into handicap company.

Trainer William Haggas has booked the promising Patrick Hills.
