ONLY three teams managed to maintain their unbeaten start to the Leeper Hare York and District Senior Football League premier division season following the batch of midweek games.

Another brace of goals from former York City ace Iain Dunn helped Huntington beat hosts Old Malton 3-1. Gary Newton, the ex-Sheriff Hutton striker, marked his full debut for Huntington by adding the third goal.

Despite missing a penalty, Thorpe United still won 3-1 at York St John's College.

Josh Carter put Thorpe in front when he volleyed home a Chris Smith cross from 30 yards. The students levelled with an Ian Fryers penalty but Thorpe claimed another maximum haul with another Carter strike and a late Dean Woods goal.

Malton and Norton are the third side to have chalked up two wins from their opening games after they hammered Pocklington 4-0.

A Matt El-Sharifs penalty gave Malton an early lead with further goals coming from Simon Collins (2) and Sam Lander.

Twice Mark Woodward levelled for Dringhouses in their home fixture with Kartiers before Shane Laverack put 'Houses in front for the first time just nine minutes from the whistle.

But they had to settle for a point as a late free-kick from Michael Braithwaite earned Kartiers a point in the 3-3 draw. James Tweedie and James Barrett scored Kartiers' early goals.

Robbie Hart scored Dunnington's goal in their 3-1 home defeat to Nestl Rowntree.

The two promoted sides are still looking for their first win.

Heslington drew 2-2 for the second consecutive game, this time against Pocklington, and just as on Saturday their marksmen were Stuart Dickenson and Danny Walters.

Tockwith hosted their first premier division game but two of Copmathorpe's new signings, Kieran Darlow and Michael Firek, helped Cop record a 2-0 win.
