HONOURS were shared in the only division one game to survive the deluge in the Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Morning Football League.

Derwent United and Acomb Celtic divided the spoils from a 3-3 draw. Curtis Drummond, with a brace, and Rob Baker netted for United, Cameron Sanderson and Lee Powell (2) replying.

Carl Stewart netted a hat-trick in Acorn’s 6-0 division two win over York St John. Also on target for the runaway leaders were Neal Richardson, Leigh Dutton and Danny Wood.

Station FC kept up their promotion challenge with a 7-4 win at York Nomads thanks to goals from Craig Anderson, Nathan Parker, Joshua Dinsley, Wayne Brooke, Steve Lyon and Gary Collier (2). Harry Bryan, Nick Rank, Scott Backhouse and Nick Lawrie shared the Nomads tally.

Wigginton Grasshoppers posted a 9-3 win over relegation threatened Marcia Grey.

The ’hoppers took a 2-0 lead through Matt Tiplady and Ben Coates before Chris Murcutt pulled one back for Marcia.

Tiplady scored his second but Marcia hit back with a goal from Lewis Chipchase to make it 3-2 at the break.

Marcia levelled with an own goal but then Wigginton seized command. Coates struck twice to complete his hat-trick, John Cavanagh made it 6-3, Tiplady hit his third for 7-3 and then brothers Jack and Tom Coates struck to complete the rout.

Hambleton Lions looked to be heading for a win in their game against Albion Vaults when leading 3-1 at the break with goals from Daniel Tame, Stuart Pea and Andrew Martland, Chris Harkin replying for Vaults.

But Albion’s Adam Durning struck two second-half goals for a share of the spoils.

Craig Nichol’s four-goal haul led Cueball’s 10-4 win at bottom side Britannia Tadcaster. Also on target were Craig Atkin (2), Tom Wheatland, John Yates, Matty Simpson and an own goal.

Britannia’s replies came from Toby Strangeway, Ross Bardy and James Ashton (2).

Division three leaders Dunnington won 5-2 at Gypsy Moth thanks to a brace from Nick Robinson plus Chris Day, Mike Noble and Danny Little goals. The Moth marksmen were Danny Oxtoby and Dion Quanborough.

Second-placed Leeman United are six points adrift but with four games in hand after beating Bishopthorpe 6-1 who took the lead through Andy Manns.

Leeman countered through a four-goal salvo from Daniel Midgely supplemented by Lee Hanson and Craig Fletcher goals.

Bubwith Nomads went top in division four after beating LNER Builders 1-0 with a second-half goal from Jamie Sedman.

Linton-on-Ouse turned in a season’s best to beat Huntington WMC 3-1 with Chris Scotting (2) and Martin Chambers goals.

With a hat-trick from Wayne Langan and a Rich Bell strike, Dinamo Megahorse beat Brayton FC 4-3. Janos Tatacs, Luke Lambert and Ben Pullan replied.
