Pocklington Town were crowned F1 Racing Sunday Football League division two champions after beating Bishopthorpe 4-2.

Rob Wright opened the scoring with a goal for Bishopthorpe.

A header from Rob Gibson levelled the scores but Wright then grabbed his second.

Town hit back before the break with goals from Dan Boneham and Ash Newton to lead 3-2 before Craig Hargreaves struck to seal the title-winning triumph.

Copmanthorpe moved into second place, James Gilbertson (2) and Joel Dixon confirming a 3-0 win over Enterprise.

Wiggington Grasshoppers beat Acomb Celtic 6-4 with Mark Andrews and Lewis Musgrave goals boosted by a brace apiece for Danny Franks and John Gothard. The Celtic replies came from Ian Rankeillor (2), Ian Hufton and Sean Stockdale.

York Nomads and Cueball drew 4-4 with Nick Rank netting a treble for Nomads and James Willmoth also on target.

A hat-trick from Ashley Hill saw Nestlé Flag take another step towards winning the division one title after an easy 6-1 win at Selby Griffin.

Also on target for the leaders were Chris Dyson (2) and Dave Hartas.

With games in hand on the leaders, Severus maintained their title bid with a 2-0 win at Derwent United with goals from Mark Woodward and Pete Mullen.

Skelton’s good run of form continued after a hat-trick from Ben Janes and a James Barrett strike gave them a 4-1 win at Wanderers for whom Glenn Allan replied.

Acorn are the new division three leaders after beating Britannia 7-3, while a hat-trick from Carlos Pinto De Andrade and a Chris Murcutt brace saw Marcia Grey move into third place after a 5-1 win over Gypsy Moth.

The battle against relegation between FC Barlby and F1 Racing finished all square at 3-3.

On target for Barlby were Steve Davis, Adam Sharp and Martin Howson with Nigel Dawber, Dave Wright and Neil Yeowart replying.

In division four, Hambleton Lions top the table after double strikes from Jon Page and Tom Harland underpinned a 4-0 win over Turf Tavern.

Station Selby, who lead the chasing pack, saw off Raskelf 7-0 with strikes from Andy Best, Glen Littlewood, Josh Dinsley, Gareth Roberts and Craig Campbell, plus two own goals.
